Ewen Leslie, 37, is already well-known in his native Australia after appearing in Sleeping Beauty and The Daughter, but is now set to make a name for himself in the UK after being cast alongside Jenna Coleman in the new BBC drama The Cry.

Leslie’s career in acting kicked off at the age of twelve after he won a scholarship to study theatre at the John Curtin College of the Arts in Fremantle, Australia. Since then he has gone on to work in theatre, film and TV, and recently starred opposite Nicole Kidman and Elisabeth Moss in Top of the Lake.
